Read the scope of the report
The PCAOB Office of the Investor Advocate points out that so-called proof-of-reserve reports do not replace financial statement audits. They may be limited to selected assets at a particular point in time. Liabilities, customers’ rights and whether holdings were merely borrowed are not automatically clarified by such reports.

Why two matching numbers are not enough
In a fictional example, a dashboard shows 100 units of gold and 100 digital units. The numbers appear balanced. Yet important information is missing: do both values refer to the same point in time? Are the same units of measurement used? Which holdings were actually included in the comparison?
A useful reconciliation would explain these assumptions directly alongside the numbers and link to the underlying documents. Without that explanation, the display remains difficult to verify. This example concerns presentation, not current OrumGold holdings.
A snapshot remains a snapshot
A report about a past point in time does not automatically establish that reserves will remain available later. A reserve report does not necessarily assess controls or corporate governance either. It therefore makes sense to read the scope and limitations alongside the results.

The evidence OrumGold plans to provide
OrumGold plans to make custody documentation, external review reports and token supply information available together. This website currently reports no confirmed gold reserves, and no OUGT is in public circulation. The planned transparency hub is therefore a target model, not evidence already provided.
Future publications are intended to be traceable: source, period, scope and outcome should be readable together. You can find the current project status on the transparency page.
